It was complete chaos in SriVaikuntam, as Nithyasuris were running here and there looking for something. Sridevi and Bhudevi were rummaging through the bed of Adiseshan. The dirt and dust accumulated over many years flew about and converted the Saatvik SriVaikumtam into a Rajas (dusty) one.

Vishwaksenar, with a stick in his hand, was interrogating all the workers of SriVaikuntam, as they stood in line and answered his questions.

Vishwaksenar also questioned the door-keepers and those who fan Him to check if there were any intruders. The list of people who came to SriVaikuntam was checked again. How come Adiseshan, who has 1000 eyes, did not see this?

“No responsibility at all. Your only job is to sleep all the time”, said Piratti looking at Perumal. She kept murmuring something looking at Him. Perumal, on the other hand, was seated in a corner with an innocent look.

What is the reason for so much agitation?

Our Perumal’s crown is missing. If a diamond-studded crown gets lost in the most secure place (SriVaikuntam), imagine the plight of other Perumals? Yes, this agitation is due to the loss of Govindan’s crown.

“Only devotees can enter SriVaikuntam. In that case, how can His crown get stolen? Maybe the crown could have slipped in the folds of Adiseshan”, thought Lakshmi and Bhoomi. This is why they rummaged through him earlier.

Adisheshan twisted and twirled his large body to help Lakshmi and Bhoomi in their search. Using this opportunity, garudan also tossed and turned Ananthan with his sharp beak. Between all this, Piratti was scolding Perumal.

Hmmmm…..but the crown could not be found even after such an intense search!

Suddently, a flash idea came to Garudan. He started thinking. “Who else came here today except Maharishis? Yes..yes..it’s him…it’s him…”, screamed Garudan.

Some devotees thought that the crown could have fallen in Paarkadal, so they had gone deep down in search of it. Hearing Garudan’s voice, they also came up.

Everyone watched Garudan with rapt attention.

“O mother! Mahalakshmi! The asura, Virochanan, came here today right? He should have stolen the crown”, he said.

“Vainatheya! Don’t drop words unnecessarily. He is a devotee, who came in the line of King Prahalad. It is Bhaagavatha apachaaram to say that he stole the crown”, said Mahalakshmi.

“Mother! I’m not scared of this pseudo devotee. I know for sure that Virochanan has stolen the crown.” – Garudan.

“Yes, what Garudan says seems to be true”, chimed other Nithyasuris.

Immediately, Garudan went to Paathalalokam in search of Virochanan.

As Garudan was bringing back the crown after defeating Virochanan, he saw Kannan in Brindavanam. “Let me give this crown to Kannan”, thought Garudan and gave it to Him.

In turn, Kannan put this crown on His presiding diety, Ramapriyan. This is what still continues to dazzle as Vairamudi.
